Meet Us
We are Clara and Kristian Nilsen, married for 9 years. Clara is from Denmark and Julian is from Norway, and together we share a love for traveling and discovering new places. We have always been huge fans of retro classics and nostalgic games, the ones we grew up playing as kids, and that passion inspired us to create something we could share with others who feel the same way.
Why We Started Nordic Retro
Ever since we were kids, we have loved playing all the classics like Crash Bandicoot, Mario, Pokemon and more. But it always frustrated us that we could not have all our favorite games on a single console. Collecting different consoles and games was not only difficult, but also expensive. We did not want to spend thousands of dollars just to play the games we loved.
That is when we had the idea to combine everything into one single device. Our GameBoy and GameStick include all the games we have ever wished for as kids, and we can assure you we still play a lot, maybe too much sometimes. It is so much more efficient, and that has been our purpose since the very beginning of Nordic Retro: to make retro gaming simple, fun, and accessible for everyone.
